Alexandru Bumbas

Theatre professor at the School of Dramatic Art of the National Theatre of Bogotá, Colombia. PhD in Theatre Studies (Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris) and PhD candidate in Jewish Studies (INALCO Paris), playwright, and director. Awardee of the Aide national à la creation dramatique – ARTCENA. Rothschild Foundation scholarship recipient. He has published, with Complicités Publishing House in Paris, the monograph La Dystopie théâtrale. Émergence d’une nouvelle forme dramatique (2022) and the theatre volume Anthologie de l’absence (2024).

Anca Pop

A researcher and editor based in London, Anca works at the crossroads of continental philosophy (with a focus on science and technology), visual and performing arts, and international politics. She is presently a PhD candidate in Philosophy at Royal Holloway, University of London, writing a thesis on French Philosophy of Medicine and Biology, with the support of a Techne AHRC scholarship. Anca is currently also based in the Photography Department of the V&A Museum, where she is conducting archival and curatorial research on medical photography.

Andrei Simionescu-Panait

Andrei Simionescu-Panait, Ph.D (University of Bucharest). is Lecturer at the National University of Science and Technology “Politehnica” Bucharest, teaching Philosophy of Technology, Ethics, and Communication. He is part of the first wave of philosophical counselors in Romania, both in practice and as a trainer of future counselors. Andrei uses LBT (logic based therapy), phenomenology, and Socratic dialogue to facilitate thinking and self-awareness in his work with clients. He is also a professor in the Master of Philosophical Counseling, West University of Timisoara, Romania. He is currently focusing on promoting philosophical practice to the general public.

Doina-Anca Crețu

Assistant Professor in Modern European History at the University of Warwick, UK. PhD in International History and Politics from the Graduate Institute Geneva, Switzerland. Her research centers on history of humanitarianism, history of development, and history of migration (esp. history of refugees). She published her first monograph, Foreign Aid and State Building in Interwar Romania: In Quest of an Ideal at the Stanford University Press, 2024. Her ongoing research delves into aspects of history of refugees in imperial and post-imperial east-central Europe more generally.

Juan José Apolinar Romero

Art historian graduated from the University of the Andes (Bogotá, Colombia) and holder of a master’s in Advanced Studies in Art History from the University of Salamanca. In his work, he combines research with artistic practice across various media (textile, digital, drawing). His work has been part of the exhibition Hilos que nos conectan con el pasado at the Gold Museum of Bogotá (2022-2023), and he has collaborated on editorial projects such as Historias del arte en Colombia, edited by Olga Acosta, Natalia Lozada, and Juanita Solano, 2022.

Larissa Luică

PhD in French, Francophone, and Comparative Literatures from the Montaigne Bordeaux 3 University. Currently a researcher at CEREFREA (Regional Francophone Center for Advanced Studies in Social Sciences) at the University of Bucharest, where she focuses on Francophone literature, autobiographical and pseudo-autobiographical writings, as well as the representation of conflicts. Her research particularly explores cultural memory, narrative identity, and the role of comics in documenting historical and personal experiences. She has published works on topics such as migration, exile, and the representation of war in contemporary Francophone literature, with a particular focus on conflicts in the Middle East. She co-directs the research axis “Creativity, Reactivity, Francophonie” within CEREFREA.

Laura Stan

Ph.D. candidate in Korean Studies at Hanyang University, Seoul. Master’s degree in Korean Studies from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul. As the founder of the first Romanian samulnori team (a traditional Korean musical ensemble consisting of four instruments) – Pureun Narae – she has also been actively involved in numerous cultural projects. Her academic interests span cultural studies, diasporic studies, and international security.

Marie Marquelet

Marie Marquelet is a PhD candidate in Film Studies at the University of Western Brittany and an associate researcher at the APP laboratory of the University of Rennes 2. In 2020, she completed a Master’s thesis in Film History and Aesthetics on figuration and speech in the cinema of Pedro Costa. Today, her research focuses more specifically on the poetics of engagement in contemporary documentary cinema and the innovations brought about by digital technologies in its practices, uses, and aesthetics. Marie has also been a member of the doctoral committee in Rennes for the international research program TECHNES and a writer for the journal Apaches.

María José Ávila García

Holder of a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the National Pedagogical University of Colombia. In her work, she creates, explores and exhibits poetic and fantastical narrative stories. Specialized in digital illustration, animation, scenography, textile and conceptual art. His works have been presented in national and international exhibitions, in Colombia, Spain and Argentina. Her teaching practice led her to work in rural areas in Colombia.

Mathilde Baïssus (Math. B.)

Holding a Master’s degree in Theatre Studies, Math. B. focuses their research on gender studies in theatre, after exploring – during their MA – the gender’s cathartic impact in European contemporary theatre. After becoming a certified teacher in French literature in 2022, Math. B. widens their research perspectives to literature and grammar, questioning the constructive dynamics that emerge from the linguistical and social tensions withholding the confrontation between the institutional grammar and the constructive speeches emerging from queer performances and shows.

Mélissa Bertrand

In charge of the Public Relations for the Scène Nationale l’Empreinte (Brive and Tulle, France), researcher, and artist. Holding a PhD in Theatre Studies from Sorbonne Nouvelle, Mélissa organizes or participates in conferences, publishes articles, edits publications, and teaches at University Saint-Denis Paris 8. She is also an associate writer with the Compagnie de l’Archée and a recipient of the National creation grant ARTCENA – France for her play La Faim aux yeux. Her play Intérieurs (various staged readings) was published by Éditions du Carnet d’Or in 2022 and adapted into a podcast in 2023. Her children’s play Le Chant de dessous les îles (2023) was supported by the collective À Mots Découverts. Co-founder of the reading committee Le Chardon.

Nadin Mai

Film critic, writer and language teacher based in France. She received her PhD from the University of Stirling and has written for many years on slow films, time and duration in cinema as well as trauma cinema. She wrote for a variety of festival catalogues and outlets, among them the BFI, Curzon, Multiplot and more. In addition, she curated a programme of slow films for the Canadian VoD service Highball TV and contributed to several German podcasts on cinema. In 2022, she was selected to take part in the Sight & Sound’s survey – The Greatest Films of All Time. Her work has been published in several languages, such as Arabic, Greek, Italian and Portuguese.

Daniel Herrera Mautino

Graphic designer graduated from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, currently studying marketing at the same university. As a content creator, he leads the OCTO Estudio team, where he specializes in designing visual identities for personal brands through a meticulous and strategic process that prioritizes conceptual depth over aesthetics. In addition, he develops content for social media, aligning design with each brand’s communication goals.

Leticia Barboza Ayala

Graphic designer graduated from the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences and content creator with experience in marketing, digital design, and communication. She leads the team at OCTO Estudio, contributing to strategic projects for personal brands and organizations. She has mainly worked in the education and gastronomy sectors, leading branding, social media, and UX/UI projects. She is known for her strategic creativity and ability to connect brands with their audiences in an authentic way, using design as a tool to evoke emotion and strengthen identities.
